Yes, I used to love them too Jane T. I had a great collection of SF & Girls Crystal weeklies, and the picture libraries. But my Mum (bless her though) packed them all and sent them to St. Bernardos in the late Sixties.
How long I'v been waiting for stuff on The Silent Three! I used to read School Friend & Girls Crystal weeklies late '50s/early '60s. Just loved the stories, especially of The Silent Three. Pity they don't publish these weeklies any more (I'm a young 68 and still yearn for those weeklies - takes me back to my childhood.) Thank you Gillian for posting these stories of The Silent Three. Any chance of acquiring old copies of SF & GC? Also used to love SF Picture Library. I thought as a last chance I'll ask Google yesterday for the Silent Three, and it directed me to your blog Gillian. Thank you. Annie C
